Summer Term

A very warm welcome to the Foundation class.

Welcome to Summer 2!

This half term we are starting a new topic and our big question is:

'What would you see at the seaside?'

We started the topic with our talking tub during the first week and the children have expressed an interest in finding out about the creatures that live under the sea. We will be listening to the poems in 'Commotion in the Ocean' and using non-fiction books to find out more about this.

This term PE will continue to be on a Monday afternoon, but please ensure your child's kit is in school at all times as we will be starting to practise for Sports Day which is on Tuesday 26th June.

As well as Sport's Day we have lots of exciting things planned for our final half term together, including our performance of 'A Place Called Home' at the Baths Hall in July and also our school trip.

Please see the welcome notice board for a full weekly timetable and don't forget to check book bags for weekly notices and letters.

Please remember to send a water bottle and your child's book bag to school every day. It is a good idae to send sun hats in daily as we have had a few days that have started off cloudy and then by lunch time it has been quite hot and sunny.
